What is 52 Books, 52 Weeks?
Beginning January 1, 2007 the Bensenville Library began its first ever yearlong reading program: 52 Books, 52 Weeks. The name says it all. Participants in this program will attempt to read 52 books in 52 weeks.
Do I really need to read 52 books to participate?
While we do call the program 52 Books, 52 Weeks, the overall goal of the program is not for you to finish 52 books within a one-year time frame, but instead for you to make reading part of your week, every week.
How does it work?
When you register for the program you will receive a booklog to help you keep track of the books you read throughout the program. Simply record what you read as the year progresses. Don’t finish a book in one week? No problem! Keep listing the book in your booklog until you are done with.
How do I get involved?
Registration for the current 52 Books, 52 Weeks program is closed. We will begin registering individuals for the 2008 52 Books, 52 Weeks program beginning December 1.
I have a question that isn’t answered here.
